Basic Library Management Training Program

A library is a growing organism. No matter how big or small a library is, a Library should be seen as an institution that is active in a constantly changing environment and according that, an institute should change and adapt itself with spirit of time so it can serve best those who need it. The NLAB provides Basic Library Management Training Program to individuals or agencies interested to set up a new library or to organize their collections. The Basic Library Management Training Program includes basic introduction to library management components such as book accessioning and importance of accessioning fields, arrangement of books in the library/shelving arrangement, circulation, procurement, drafting of library policy and procedures manual, processing library materials, classification, cataloguing, introduction to library automation, staff training and the basic services that a library should provide to its users.
